Course Completion
The FLEX/YES Storytelling Online Course came to an end on April 15th, 2024. This asynchronous online course was made available to all FLEX and YES on-program students for the 2023-2024 academic year as part of American Councils’ Virtual Programming.
Through a mix of interactive videos and quizzes, participants learned how to create engaging stories about their exchange year, using the best practices of storytelling, editing, storyboarding, and media collection. After guiding their way through the video content and assignments, students were tasked with assembling a short video on this years theme - Through New Eyes - in which they reflected on a unique cultural experience they had during their exchange year and how it transformed their perspective on the world.
The course ran from October 15, 2023 - April 15, 2024. During that time, the course had over 460 active participants. 55 participants completed all of the lessons and 29 submitted final video projects. Feedback from those who completed the lessons was extremely positive. More details can be found below.
